Kindred Valley
Indie folk band Kindred Valley began when three friends with a passion for music met at Marshall University in 2020. Initially under the name Back Row Baptists, Blake Lacy, Noah Freeman, and Brett McCoy met in Huntington, West Virginia, and began writing and recording music together. The band released its first singles as a trio but found its footing in 2021 with three new members – husband and wife Rachael and Jadon Hayes and Kaden Salmons.
Jeremy Short
Even if you’ve never heard his name before, there’s a good chance you’ve felt his vibe. Short is carving a name for himself as one of the most dynamic performers on today’s roots and jam circuit. He’s shared stages with Grace Bowers, John Oates, Jared James Nichols, WynonnaJudd, Ben Folds, Tommy Prine, Maggie Rose, Sierra Hull, Lucas Nelson, Tyler Childers, Kingfish, Marcus King, John Osborne, and Taj Mahal, and lit up festival crowds at places like Bonnaroo, FloydFest, Healing Appalachia, and Master Musicians Festival.
This isn't background music. This is lose-yourself, forget-the-world, dance-until-you’re-sweaty kind of music. Whether you're a diehard blues fan, a funk enthusiast, or just someone who wants to feel something real, a Jeremy Short show will leave you buzzing for days. You might walk in curious. You’ll walk out converted.
Seneca
Rooted in the hills of West Virginia, blending storytelling soul with the energy of the modern Americana rock and country scene, Seneca was formed in 2023 by students at West Virginia University, comprised of vocalist/frontman Andrew Parsons, guitarist Dylan Hunt, drummer Chris Little, bassist Jared Longmore, and pianist Graham Sterling. The young band broke onto the Morgantown music scene with their electric performances that shut down streets and filled up bars. Building off the quickly growing crowds — and with the release of energetic, raw, original music — opportunities to play bigger shows and prove themselves on larger stages soon followed. From small-town bars to Nashville lights, their journey has taken them across West Virginia and onto some truly esteemed stages.
